Alpine Meadows
Lake Tahoe locals know Alpine Meadows as the mellow alternative to the faster paced resorts like Squaw Valley. A favorite with local skiers and snowboarders, Alpine Meadows is known for the longest snow season of any Lake Tahoe ski resort with an annual average snowfall of 402 inches. While it is a bit more casual than some of the other Tahoe ski resorts, it does have a modern lift system and numerous on-mountain amenites. Alpine Meadows in the summer boasts hiking, biking, horseback riding, rafting and fly fishing Bear Creek.
